about

In 2015, Beth and I made a picture book called "You're Doing Great, Baby". We ran a kickstarter project to get that book printed, and this EP was one of the rewards for backers.

Thanks again to all the backers! After our kickstarter project was successful, Beth had to take the kids out a few times to give me time and space to record. Thank you, Beth!

The original idea was to make a collection of lullabies for parents in need of sleep, but I think the end result is more of a general sleepiness vibe for babies and all ages.

I've tinkered with some of the songs since then. Hope they sound better now.

Also, hope you're well.

You can read our picture book, and buy a copy if there are still any left, from doinggreatbaby.com

Track Name: Open Houses
(Oh let me know who you are.
I'll make a wish on a star
You let me into your heart,
And I will mine.)

Why is it always so hard to see?
No cars in the kitchen.
No love in the library.
I need you here with me now.

Why is it always so hard to know
when people come
they don't always go?
I'll be here forever more.

Little baby close your eyes.
Little baby rest a while
and be loved, and be loved, and be loved.
Track Name: You Dream
What will you dream this time?
What will you see, what will you be, this time?
Track Name: It's Late
So tired.
Making up excuses why we have to be awake.
All the days distractions piling up and over us.

It can wait until tomorrow.
It can wait.
Tomorrow will be fine.

It's time.
Time to let the daylight come and lose ourselves to night.
There will be another day and then we feel alive.

It can wait until tomorrow.
It can wait.
Tomorrow will be fine.

It's time.

It's late. So tired. Let's say goodnight.
It's time. Let's try. Life waits. We'll lie.
